9 Best Off-the-Strip Las Vegas Hotels (Revealed!)
The Strip is what Las Vegas is known for, but maybe that just isn’t your cup of tea, and you would prefer something a little farther away. Whether that’s to escape some of the noise or just to save a bit of cash, I’ve got you covered.
Here are 9 best Las Vegas hotels off the Strip:
- Desert Rose Resort
- Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa
- El Cortez Hotel and Casino
- Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa
- Platinum Hotel and Spa
- The Oasis at Gold Spike
- Virgin Hotels Las Vegas
- The Orleans Hotel & Casino
- M Resort Spa and Casino
Read on and I’ll go over what makes each of these hotels so great and which will be the best for you. From budget options to family-friendly luxury resorts, we’ll cover it all, so let’s get started.
1. Desert Rose Resort
If you’re looking for a quieter stay (there is no casino) that’s still within walking distance of the Las Vegas Strip, then the Desert Rose Resort may be the perfect option for you. It’s located two blocks away from the Strip, making it a great choice if you don’t have your car with you.
This 3-star resort features 278 one and two-bedroom suites.
Desert Resort Suite Features
- Private balcony or patio
- Full kitchen
- Separate living area with sofas
This makes it ideal for longer-term stays because you’ll be able to spend more time in your suite without feeling like you’re staying in a bedroom all day. The amenities are pretty limited, however, compared to some of the other options on this list.
Desert Rose Resort Amenities
- A fitness center
- Complimentary breakfast
- A BBQ area
- Happy hour on select days
- An outdoor pool with hot tub
The dining options are also pretty limited at Desert Rose Resort. The only actual restaurant is Ellington’s Bar and Grill, but there’s also a convenience store where you can pick up snacks and a lobby bar if you’re wanting a drink.
Possibly the number one reason for choosing this Las Vegas hotel is because, unlike most resorts in Vegas, the Desert Rose doesn’t charge a daily resort fee, and parking is free.

2. Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino
If you’re traveling with kids, then you’re looking for something different than what a lot of the hotels on and off the Strip offer. While you may want to enjoy happy hour every night and spend your time fooling around in the casinos, kids can’t do that and are going to need alternative activities.
In that case, Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa might be an excellent option for you.
Out of the options on this list, it is one of the farthest from the actual Strip. It is a 15 to 20-minute drive, so if you don’t have a car, this may not be your best choice.

The Green Valley Ranch Resort is home to an impressive list of amenities, including:
- A beautiful resort pool
- Spa
- Arcade
- Several restaurants
- Bars
