The mall is a life-like reproduction of the famed canals of Venice. The canals wind through the shops in the mall.
You can even take a ride on a gondola with a traditionally dressed gondolier who will gently guide you down the canals to your next shopping destination! Maybe he’ll even sing you a song.

Streetmosphere at the Grand Canal Shoppes
In an area that replicates the famous St. Mark’s Square in Venice is a thing the Canal Shoppes likes to call “Steetmosphere.” Immerse yourself in the culture of Italy with live performances, including singing, dancing, music, and opera. Performers move around through the area providing free and entertaining 15-minute long shows throughout the day.
Madame Tussauds Las Vegas
Another fun thing to see at the Grand Canal Shoppes is Madame Tussauds Las Vegas. An interactive wax museum with more than 100 likenesses of your favorite celebrities and movie characters.
Get personal and up close to snap a picture with your favorite star. The statues are frequently rotated, so you never know who you’re going to see.
Living Statues at the Grand Canal Shoppes
You’ll also find “living statues” scattered throughout the shopping mall. These statues seem so lifelike because they are, in fact, alive! Live performers in the guise of classic Venetian figures stand without moving a muscle for hours at a time. Be sure to take a photo with a statue, and I dare you to try and make one laugh.

The crystals are angularly cut into sphere shapes so that the lights reflect off the crystals. The ball is 14 ft around and installed above the shops.
